ABOUT TAEKWON-DO
Taekwon-Do, officially named on 11 April 1955, is a Korean martial art founded by General Choi Hong-Hi. Created as a unified, modern martial art rooted in pride, discipline, and self-defence.
From its inception, Taekwon-Do has been more than a method of combat. It embodies a philosophy based on the five tenets — Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-Control, and Indomitable Spirit — encouraging students to apply these values in everyday life.
Technically, it blends speed, power, and precision, applying principles of physics to maximise effectiveness in both offence and defence.
